66cc Vs 80cc66cc Vs 80cc, What's the difference? Is the 80cc engine really better? Here's the answers your looking for.
Have you noticed that some of the companies selling Motorized Bicycle Engine Kits are offering 80cc engines while others are only offering 66cc engines? What's the difference? We here at Green Earth Choppers have bought 3 different 80cc engine kits from 3 different suppliers and compared them to our 66cc motors. Surprisingly, they were identical to our 66cc engine. The actual displacement of all of them is 65.9cc. When saying you have a 80cc engine they are just rounding up to 80cc. We feel that if you are going to round up, it should be to the nearest whole number. Therefore we call our largest engine a 66cc not 80cc like others. Rest assured, if you order one of ours, the box will actually say 80cc, but on the engine, the sticker will say 65.9cc. We offer the SAME ENGINE Kit that others call 80cc and charge you more money for. We just feel "it is what it is". We are not going to try to deceive you by telling you it's an 80cc when in reality, it's not. If you want to tell everybody that the engine you have on your bike is an 80cc, that's fine. But we will not tell you you're getting an 80cc if you're really getting a 66cc.
